Hi I am new to cinematography I was planning to buy HRV A1 , though first it was HC1 , but then later i thought A1 wld be a better choice. any 1 used the camera , also wld this be better or panasonic 100.. Does A1 have the Cineframe mode 9 the 1 tht gives the footage movie look) and also 24p?? Thanks

Hi , I am very new to cinematofraphy. I was a photographer just switched to cine.. i along with some friends are making a short movie i wanted to know to give it a movie kind of effect what to shoot on , 30p 60i etc..?? i dont understand that much , also what shtter speed do i need to keep so tht there is no blur , like how in photography i shoot on 125 or 100 ... does this apply to cinematography as well what all things do i need to keep in mind when shooting with pd170 whats Iris and gain ?? How different is that from aperture ... and also how do i fade in and out ? what exatcly does that mean thanks

I am a photographer and am new to cinematography Can some one here please tell me what exatcly is the difference in FILM camera and DV camera and Digital? Also what is 30, 60i etc and all.. I am going to get started with a project , will be using a PD 170 , dont no much at all , i am confused what should i use 60i or all 30, or like what is it Also like how in photograophy anything below 100 shutter speed causes blur in the picture, how does it work with Cinematography. What shutter speed to keep etc ? thanks

Hi , I am Aman from India. I want to get into cinematography , but as of now dont know anything much at all about it . I was planning to do a one year immersion study program ( specialising in Cinematography) from the La film school. I am going to be a graduate in april 2006 and then will join the may batch . I wanted to know is La film school worth it ? I dont want to do a 3 year course .. I am through with photography as i am into the filed from the last 2-3 years , so i am very well connected with basics and much more than basics of photography , but dont know much about lighting though.. A person like me has not even used a camcorder properly ever , so at the school will they teach all about it and all?? Is it worth 35000 dollars ( 15 lac rs in my currency , plus accom seperate .. haha ) How is San Francisco school of digital film making ,,,? I have been to archive but was not satisfied with the replies so here i am again .. Pls help Thanks in adv Aman Mumbai
