  1. Hi John, I'm in the UK, and yes, I'm sure it's phones4u. It's an advert with a bunch of weird characters at some resort by the seaside. Ring any bells ??
  2. Hi, does anyone know how they achieved the desaturated look of the phones4u advert (the one where they are by the seaside) ? ie :Was it done in camera or in post ? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
  3. Hi all, does anyone know where I can download a user manual for the JVC GY-110U HD camera ? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
  4. Dear all I am due to shoot a film in which I hope to recreate the POV effect seen in 'The Diving Bell & the Butterfly'. We are using the JVC GY-110 HD camera. Does anyone know if it is possible to attach a swivel and tilt lens to this camera, and if so where I can get one. Also, will attaching one mean that the focal length of the lens will be greatly increased due to the size of the sensors, or any other issues ? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
  5. Thanks for your reply to my question -also, does every member read every forum?
  6. Hi, thanks for your reply, could you elaborate?
  7. Does anyone have any ideas on a situation I have been confronted with on a film that is due to be shot on Super 16mm with a Bolex EBM? Their is a scene where a beam of light is to shine through a crack in a wall and transfix an old man who is caught in it's beam. The effect that the director wants to achieve from either a neutral angle, or from the side, is that the beam of light should appear to have an almost 'material' quality to it, and that instead of just instantly enveloping the old man who is in it's path (as say a torch would when switched on and pointed at something), it should appear to advance slowly towards him. Been scratching my head about this for some weeks so any help / insight would be greatly appreciated. Must stress though, that this effect must be achieved IN CAMERA if possible. Thanks...
