  1. So, it's been pretty well established that Arri does not put any diffusion inside of the Alexa's OLPF, that the idea there was was a rumor started by Red. But does Red put diffusion inside some of their OLPFs? Like their Skin Tone, Low Light, etc? I've noticed Red footage all the way down to their lowest offerings, like the Komodo, tend to have the details blending together with a smoother transition in the highlights with occasional subtle blooming when compared to other cameras with comparable dynamic range and price point, like Canon's cinema light up, which come across as more crisp and sharp, even if they both use the same lens. I'm sorry for the vague description, I'm having a hard time describing the difference I'm seeing. I know color science is partly responsible, but it makes me wonder if the OLPF is doing some sort of blending through something like diffusion, since it's doing something that technically comparable cameras are not. If so, is there a front of lens filter available I could use to help me get a similar result, like the Tiffen Black Diffusion/FX or Digital Diffusion FX? I much prefer the overall look of Red, but it just cannot beat Canon's ergonomics and design layout for my use case and workflow (I do a lot of run & gun).
