Lee magner

Hello I’m shooting with the 814 electronic. I’ve just read that when shooting with battery power in red- the camera exposure doesn’t work. My batteries ran out during a shoot and I’m not concerned that my film won’t be properly exposed. Is this correct and also is it likely that it will also affect the film gauge as it hasn’t moved according to the time I was shooting. Lee
