So recently i picked up an old Bell and Howell 16mm Magazine Camera from 1951. Let me be the first to say this camera does NOT look its age and i've been wanting to try it out. Generally i don't buy unless the cameras have a case and the instructions, but this one was so cheap i picked it up anyhow. I've been looking around online for possibly an instructions manual or any film since i purchased the camera without. I know next to nothing about it and was hoping someone could help me out. Sidenote: By some coincedence i do have a 16mm old projector that still works Any help/ideas/anything is totally welcome!

I check Ebay constantly for bargains for my Arri but I also check out all other 16mm and 35mm equipment. Recently I have seen a surge in sales of old B&H 70DR's with and without lenses and for very high prices in comparison to Bolex as a compatible wind and go camera. They are selling at $250 body only and higher with any kind of c-mount lens. I never would consider Bolex as being of lower quality then BH in fact I think it is far better yet Bolex H16's are going un-sold at $90 and $120. Did some movie star use one in a movie or something? I remember when Clint Eastwood came out with Dirty Harry sales of .44 Magnums went through the roof to folks that would never use one and probably were not capable of using one. Is this the same kind of thing? Anyone know something about this phenomena?

Hello there, I am a novice to the world of Super 8 film and have recently purchased two projectors. I have some questions relating to these projectors and hope someone out there might be interested in helping me out with a few things. Bell & Howell Autoload 461a Super 8 Projector While film appears to load and run through the projector as intended, the projected image is scattered and jittery to the point of not being able to make out what is being shown in the film. When the lever is switched to Still, the image is clear and clean and in focus. However, once switched back to Forward, the chaotic mess returns. Sears Easy-Load P222 and P223 Super 8 Projector The image shown is clean and in focus, but I’m confused about the way the reels are operating. The Reel Arm spins at a speed much faster than the projector processes the film, causing a big mess in little time. Also, the Rear Spindle doesn’t spin (is it supposed to?), so I’m having to manually wind the film after it’s moved through the projector. Any input or information on either of these projectors and the issues I’m having with them would be appreciated!
