Every January I back up the low-res archive to M-Disc. I have years of screenshots and photos I've saved from the internet that need filing and stumbled upon these today. Don't know if I will get them all filed, I never do, as they number into the many thousands of files that need organizing...but I'm trying to make a dent. Both of these examples are from the eBay archive. Before I had screen recorder software, I'd just save the photos and not have the listing info on eBay. This was way before eBay changed their photos to troublesome WEBP files and you could still download JPEGs. Picnic with Queen Victoria eBay Tons of great stuff for sale in the UK. But the shipping generally kills it unless you got deep pockets. Some snobby curators look down on acquisitions from eBay. A good curator finds material wherever it may be and checks their ego at the door. <><><><> Daniel D. Teoli Jr. Archival Collection Daniel D. Teoli Jr. Small Gauge Film Archive Daniel D. The Acting Genius of Maggie Smith - Clip From 'The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie' 1969 D.D.Teoli Jr. A.C. : D.D.Teoli Jr. A.C. : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 4 actors in the scene. Everyone acting their part to perfection. The amount of work needed to edit an actual feature film, on film, as opposed to digital must be mind boggling. I cut up lots of other people's films and have to go back and forth to split second the edits for comparison...but it is all digital. I can't imagine the work needed to go back and forth with one edit compared to another when doing film. I did some actual film editing in Jr. College at LACC back in the day. Didn't particularly like it. And now that I got old, too much concentration irritates my stomach ulcer. In any case, I do lots of basic edits now, so making up for all that lost time doing film edits. Edits, acting, along with camerawork, make or break the film. But just having the best equipment won't guarantee the best result. Talent is the key! ...an archer is known for their aim and not their arrows. <><><><> Cine' Kodak 1931 DDTJRAC Daniel D. Caught a glimpse of a gasholder in England while watching a film. Before high pressure gas lines these were all over the place. I think they still have a few relics left in England. In the USA you would have never known they had existed. Clip of Gasholder in England D.D.Teoli Jr. A.C. : D.D.Teoli Jr. A.C. : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Lost in storage. She is inspecting an assault rifle with the military. Looked all over for it. Last time I saw it was 2 years ago when working in the storage locker. Now poof! Well, here is one from 1967 by Yousuf Karsh... Queen Elizabeth II April 21, 1926 - September 8, 2022 DDTJRAC
