steveb40
If shooting 200D/T outdoors and desaturating to black and white what kind of contrast will I get? Does anyone suggest a yellow filter? I'm looking for high contrast but not sure if the 200 in daylight will have enough. Thanks, -steve http://www.insomniacreations.com
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted October 16, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted October 16, 2004 Color Contrast B&W filters don't work as well on color film if you are trying to change the contrast. But since you are probably planning on pulling out the color in video post, you can also add more contrast at that time.

After shooting tri-x with a red the results were great; I am under the impression that the neg stock is better so I thought I would do the same only on a 200D, but I have no idea what it will look like. I'm also trying to avoid to much post control as I like trying to achieve a look out of the camera. I'm really a huge fan of Nykvist's work with Bergman in the 60's and I was "assuming" much of that was with a red filter. Would it be better for me to use plus-x or tri-x with a red instead of the neg? THANKS.
