PJBarry
Hello all, Quick question. Once you've shot something, I know the rule is to get it to the lab ASAP, but how long could it wait? Also, if you can't get it there right away, is it smart to put it back in the fridge or leave it out? Thanks for the replies. PJ
Mitch Gross
I know of a number of docs that have had to wait weeks before developing footage due to location or travel. If you wait any extended time period then you should refridgerate the film. But if it is only going to be a day or so then you can probably leave the cans alone so long as they are not stored in particularly high heat or humidity. When in doubt stick it in the fridge or even a travel cooler for protection. And don't forget to wrap it in a plastic bag so no one spills anything on it! Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted February 24, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted February 24, 2004 Here's the information on storage of raw stock: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/support/.../storage1.shtml Reduced temperature is certainly recommended if storing film more than a few days.
