Camera for shooting computer screens

Shooing an ipad with the RED and the 5D i am getting really bad moire pattern. someone told me that the apple adds are shot with the f23 as this camera is best for shooting these devices. does anyone here have experience with this? i am also looking at the new Sony f3.

Is it a shutter speed issue? What speed are you shooting at?

It is not a stutter speed issue, it is a sensor issue. I did some tests with the Sony F3 and it looks fine. Red and Cannon 5D you see a pattern over the screen.

It sounds like they're cheating a little on the Nyquist limit, not quite a strong enough OLPF. You could experiment with diffusion filters, or just use the Sony.

yeah whats wrong with the sony, thats a great cam

 

and apparently using it would save you some trouble
