Matthew Parnell
I'm assuming you're talking about Arri heads. The Arri Compacts are a series of HMI fresnel lamps that use single ended globes and are much smaller in size to the original Arri HMI fresnel range. christian mann
okay. so the par is much stronger than a compact, right? is there any rule of thumb that a par is x times stronger than a par?
Premium Member Marque DeWinter Posted April 19, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted April 19, 2011 It depends on which par your comparing to which fresnel. A 1.2k par is going to output more light than a 1.2k fresnel because the lens is going to cut some of the light. The difference is in the spill. The fresnel is going to focus the light more. ~Marque
