Michael Most
and digital grain reduction smearing... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> C'mon, enough already. If there was any such artifacting it seemed to only be noticeable and bothersome to an audience of one, namely you. The rest of us had no problem with the image quality of the picture. If you have a gripe with Bob Richardson's work, say it. But get off this personal crusade of yours, it's getting kind of old.
Premium Member Max Jacoby Posted March 1, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted March 1, 2005 The film does have that DNR look, no question about it. That was apparent in every single shot.
Mike Donis
Regardless of how digital any of it looked - I thought it looked fantastic.
Annie Wengenroth
Does anybody else find that the more technical criticism they hear about a film, the more compelled they are to watch it again more closely? Now I want to see The Aviator again..if you can believe it, I actually missed the Oscars because I was working. So basically instead of watching the stars on the red carpet, I was packing equipment for students who will maybe someday make films with red carpet stars in them? Or something? :D At any rate, I was pretty bummed out and yes, I was a little surprised to hear about The Aviator.
