Canon Autozoom 518 SV Exposure indicator not working

So i just bought this super 8 camera on ebay and everything seems to work perfectly fine except for one thing.

 

The exposure indicator doesn't move at all, it's like theres no little needle in it at all.

 

I figured this is kinda a big deal because i dont want to overexpose my flim and stuff.

 

Can someone tell me as to why this is happening, or how i can fix it? Please.
