Premium Member Miguel Angel Posted May 27, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted May 27, 2015 Hi Ian, I shot a short - film on the Hawk a while back (2009 or 2010 I can't remember) with Epic to test the Epic + anamorphic combination (first time in Spain) I didn't like the flares. https://vimeo.com/119055040 On the other hand, the regular ones are quite heavy which is good for studio shoots but horrible for hand - held and I'm a big fan of heavy balanced cameras but the normal Hawks are too much. I have worked on several commercials where we used the Hawks too and, again, never liked the way they flare. Blood Diamond was shot on Hawks too and it looks amazing though! Have a good day!
