Peter Connell
Hi guys, Question: What is the best value for money kit to help stabilise my shoulder shooting on an Arri SR? Shoulder pad? Is there a gimbal for your shoulder? Context: I bought an Arri SR last year and have shot two shorts with a tripod. I want to use more over the shoulder shooting for my next project. I have tried some over the shoulder shooting before and its relatively stable but when I started walking there is room for improvement. Many thanks Pete
Daniyal Shah
If you want to keep it on a budget, grab the smallrig vct plate & shoulder pad. Since the SR has only one mounting point on the bottom, use a thin layer of snot tape around the edges where the camera sits on the plate. Pretty stable and has worked well for me. From there, grab some rosette mount handles. Now it's really simple to switch from shoulder mount to tripod
