Agenieux lens aperture 35-140mm F3.5

Hi,

I am planning to use an Agenieux 35-140mm F3.5 zoom lens for cine use. I am familiar with still camera zoom lenses where the aperture changes as the lens is zoomed. With the aperture wide open on the Agenieux zoom lens does the lens remain at a constant F3.5 at all focal lengths?

Obviously this would make cinematography easier as no aperture change is required mid zoom :-)

Is this a standard feature of motion picture zooms?

Thanks From,

Henry.

Well, yeah, sort of... I mean that a light loss can be observed at the extreme focal length, (don't especially know for this one) but on the main part of the zoom, the aperture will remain the same.

The basic idea is that you shouldn't change it while zooming.
