Guest Ian Marks Posted February 27, 2006 Share Posted February 27, 2006 The 9.5 to 57 is smaller, faster, focuses closer and is sharper. The 12 to 120 is very common and often available at a good price. It is still a good lens, especially stopped down to f4/5.6 or so. If money isn't a factor, definitely get the 9.5 to 57.
