Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted March 28, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted March 28, 2006 loookin for solutions. anything? thx John Longnecker has probably done this already. I think if you just google his name you'll get his web address. Apparently he goes by "antenna guy" now. http://antennaguy.com/ I have trouble seeing the text on his website. Let me know if you can see text or not.

What does this have to do with putting a 1014XLS on a steadycam rig? What an annoying response. Did I not provide his name? Did I not suggest you can do a google search with his name? I stated I have trouble reading text on his website, since I cannot read the text on his antenna site, I don't know if it links to his super-8 site. thomas-english
I have been trying to put my beaulieu onto my steadicam rig for a little while your camera the cannon you can get a video tap for it. Jake at widescreen london showed me a site you could buy them from but I promtly forgot it. Contact him he knows an awful lot about s8 In the mean time... forget it... get another camera and put it parallel to your s8 .. adjust the framelines on your rig so they corespond to your frame on your s8 and your laughing. Don t stress about it and get your shot. your s8 camera is too light to put on a steadicam rig anyway.
Rachel Oliver
Hi; Check out www.duallcamera.com They do a video tap solution for the 1014. It's pretty easy to rig up a bullet cam/eyepiece solution yourself too. I use a 12mm bullet cam on my Bolex and Leicina Special sometimes. Rick Palidwor
If you go to the bottom of this page you'll find a couple of links to a steadi-cam and a video assist that we used once. I still have the steadicam. http://www.friendlyfirefilms.ca/superduper8.html Rick

Have you had much luck with using your taps in indoor lighting? cheers thomas Hi; I'm pretty amazed by how well the bullet cams cope in low light, mine has auto gain which although noisy gives a bright picture even with the lens stopped down a fair way.
