Guest peter orland
I'm thinking about buying my first camera. I like the look (the image capture) of the panasonic over the rest of the field. Are there any advantages or disadvantages of the pal or ntsc versions of the HVX200?
Guest peter orland
Also. What does gray market actually mean?
Stuart Brereton
PAL is a superior system to NTSC. It has greater resolution, better colour, and its'native 25fps is a much closer match to Films' 24fps if you are doing filmouts. That said, if you are in a predominantly NTSC country, you might find compatibility issues. Grey Market goods are items (like cameras) which were not meant to be sold in certain territories. They have been imported by someone other than the manufacturer, who will probably refuse to service it or honor the warranty.
Guest peter orland
So would this... http://www.globalmediapro.com/do/product/1318 ...be considered gray market? Should it be avoided?
