Keneu Luca
Video Assist Does anyone know of any existing video taps for an Arri S? Thank you I just checked DuAll's website and apparently they do have 'em. Anyone know about them, or any others? Thanks Edited March 31, 2006 by Keneu
Premium Member Nathan Milford Posted March 31, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted March 31, 2006 All of the video assist solutions I've seen for the ARRI S require that you remove the eyepiece and mount the camera in its place, so you can't look through the vewfinder whilst you're using it. Who knows... maybe someone has modified a door to acomidate a beam splitter, but I haven't seen it.
Premium Member Andy Sparaco SOC Posted March 31, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted March 31, 2006 You might look into video cameras for Microscopes. Do a Google search. The Video taps which are attached to the eyepiece are almost all derived from those suppliers with a a little re-packaging. When I had my Arri-S modified I had discussions about aquiring an Arri-S door with an APEC Exposure meter and removing it for the video camera. Cost was the only problem. Visual Products is now offering a video tap upgrade for the Arri SR using that approach. I have two eyepieces one for viewing and the other set-up permanently with the tap
