How did they shoot the long daybreak scene in "24" finale?

The finale of "24" takes place between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m.. That airport scene must have taken at least a

day, Im guessing. I've shot quick daybreak scenes in twenty minutes and been able to use stronger

warm lights than they did or probably could at two in the afternoon in the wide open. The scene did have

a warm look. Do you think they used some kind of filtration and if so, what? (Or was it all adjusted in post?)

24 uses quite a bit of post color-correction, as do most TV shows.

 

I didn't see the episode so I don't know what specific techniques they might have used. But it's not that difficult to maintain a consistent-looking time of day througout a shoot by use of lighting, filtration, and color-correction. Usually you'll capture the widest shots at the time of day you need, then you can "fake" the lighting on the closeups to match. And since 24 is almost all closeups, this is likely what they did.
