Advice on Director's finders

I'm about to buy a Director's finder, but where I live I can't try any to make up my mind. Have any of you any recommendations? What was good about them, bad? I was thinking about Kish optics, and the future-vu, ultra-vu, the Personal Director's Finder etc. Please tell me a little bit about your Director's Finder.

The problem I have with all these finders is that besides the shot size, they do not show the characteristics of each lens. I much prefer PL or PV Mount Viewfinders where you can put your actual lens on and see exactely what it looks like. This is especially important for wide angle lenses, since you can get an idea of the distortions of the lens.

Yep but you can't really use it when you don't have the lenses... in prep weeks before shootig for instance. But on the set, for preparing shots to come, no better way, for sure

I like to use and own the smaller director's viewfinder made and sold at Birns & Sawyer (Hollywood)...

 

The aspect ratio option is great and the choice of focal length setting is good...
