new to bealieu 6008Pro - any tips?

I've just moved on from the relative familiarity of the canon 1014E I've been using for the last few years to a Beaulieu 6008 Pro - I'm waiting for the first rolls to come back, but in the meantime, was hoping for some good tips to avoid unnecessary burning of valuable stock! in essence- what do I need to be aware in the transition from Canon to Beaulieu to get the best out of the new baby?

 

also, looking to shoot some 16:9 or anamorphic Super 8 - any tips? are there hire options out there? common mistakes or pitfalls to be avoided?

 

I'm based in the UK, and have been devouring the manual!
