Concerning light meters (first time buyer)..

You'll probably want both an incidence meter and a spot meter. It was hard for me to find a spot meter so I went with the Seconic L-558 cine because it combines both, which some find too bulky, but that's not a problem I've had with it. I dig it because it tells you anything you could want to know about the light all in one package. The major downside is the price, especially since I bought it new, I'm sure used seperate meters would be cheaper.

PS, don't buy ebay meters from hong kong! heard bad stories about those.
