Mike Panczenko
Any opinions on his work? I think that the Fellowship of the Ring is one of the most beautifully shot movies ever. His work on Babe, I think is great, too. On The Two Towers I understand what he was trying to do, but I am not able to get into movies that are so desaturated. On Return of the King, I think that the digital grading in the skies made many scenes unrealistic, but there were also some good moments. What are your opinions on his work? Has anybody seen some of his lesser known films, and what are your feelings on those?
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted August 5, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted August 5, 2004 I was on a plane and saw an Australian comedy he shot starring Miranda Otto (from Return of the King) called "Doing Time For Patsy Cline" -- looked really pretty (as did Ms. Otto). Loved his work on the two "Babe" movies. I see he's going to shoot "Mad Max 4".
