Nick Mulder
Hi, I need to provide some info soon regarding the weight of a camera rig we will be using for a shoot - we are stripping an old parallax (non-RX) bolex H16 of its spring related parts to save on weight.. it will be using a motor via its 8:1 shaft on the day... I have the camera here and it weighs ~2kg without viewfinder or film loaded - the motor weighs ~500g without battery - i need to add the battery & film weight (a 100ft daylight) which is easy but I need to take away the spring weight to get a final number we need ... (I cant pull the cam apart yet) Does anyone have a spare spring and casing lying around they could chuck on some scales ? I'm guessing it will be between the 500g to 1kg mark - so 750g is my ballpark guess - but some actual numbers would be great... I know its a tall order - but if I'm correct I think there are some Bolex techs lurking around these forums (; thanks in advance, Nick
