nacho lopez
hi there, I heard some discurrsion but is not clear for me sorry. Is possible to put directly the image from the camera to a portable hard disk (like Lacie) with out a computer or laptop. I know one that is a preview in dvxuser.com but is more expensive
Mike Panczenko
I typed in "recording directly to hard drive" +video, and a few other searches in google, and found a few that might work. http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/WinDVR.jsp?m...ure=DV_realtime http://www.datavideo-tek.com/products/dn_100_main_page.htm http://www.neutroncanada.com/prod.cfm/2419...27-01/VIDEONICS There might be more, try "recording directly to hard drive" +video, "recording to hard drive", and "recording to hard drive" +video. I don't think I found any matches in the last one, but I only looked at the first page. Hope this helps.
Carlos M. Icaza
I have used firestore for my xl-1 and is a useful tool. My only problem with stuff like this is that you then become tethered to yet another device. with all the cables for monitor city, sound city, power (dc or ac), and firestore and you end up with cable galore and what could take a min for moving hte camera becomes a logistic manenouver. check out www.firestore.com c.-
Benjamin Treplin
Clipmaker expensive but the best out there. If I'm right it also with firewire available.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted August 24, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted August 24, 2004 Hi, Also there's nothing stopping you just hooking up to a computer, whether that's a laptop or desktop depending on the situation, and recording into your favourite NLE. I do this all the time. Phil
