Jonathan Bowerbank
Hey everyone, I just added this book to my "Christmas list". Do any of you DP's who have read it regard it as a valuable resource and filmmaking reference? Is this something I should definitely have in my library? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/024080495...d=21RLE2MTVICNR
Premium Member Kevin Zanit Posted December 4, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted December 4, 2006 It is probably the best book on real world lighting I have read. Its technical information is great, but so is the set electrician?s etiquette section. It has lots of information that you would not have unless you spent the time on set learning it; an excellent book.

Joey Daoud
Like Jonathan I too got it for Christmas. I wish I had gotten it months ago, it's an invaluable resource and reference book well worth the $30.
Drew Hoffman
It's one of the few books that I recommend to EVERYONE. Not only is it invaluable to have in my library... it's been invaluable to have in my bag on set as well.
Brian Baker
All of the reasons above and then some is why this book is so damn good. I like to describe it as "the book that tells you everything you already know, but the proper way of doing it" The tables alone make the book worth purchasing.
