Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted August 13, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted August 13, 2004 http://www.filmshooting.com/community/anno...s/nomos2004.php By Jürgen Lossau, June 2004 Entry form (MS Word) (visit link for entry form) Dear Moviemaker! You want to join? We are looking forward to seeing your film! Please fill in the below form and send it back to us together with your movie until 25 September 2004. In order to promote Super-8 film and encourage people to make a ?reel? film, the specialist publishing house Schiele & Schön organises the NOMOS Super-8 Film Award. The winners will be shown at the Waghäusel narrow-gauge film fair on 9/10 October 2004. The theme for your movie: ?a short story about the time.? Apart from our main sponsor, the designer watchmaker NOMOS from Glashütte/Saxony, Kodak, Wittner Kinotechnik, the Waghäusel narrow-gauge film fair and the Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian Broadcasting Service) also support this competition. The first prize will be Euro 1,000 as well as a ?Nomos Tangente? with a special Super-8 style strap (worth Euro 690). The second prize will be Euro 500 plus a ?Nomos Tangente?. Further ?Nomos Tangente? watches will be awarded which also feature the special strap with Super-8 sprocket holes as well as an engraving of the winner?s name. Vouchers for film equipment and accessories, Kodak film stock as well as free subscription to the schmalfilm magazine for one year can also be won. Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted August 18, 2004 Author Premium Member Share Posted August 18, 2004 Definitely can be from the United States. What I'm not sure about is what video formats your film can be transferred to. I'm asuming you can shoot on film and edit on video, but I don't know if it has to be submitted in pal or not nor what is the highest quality video format they will accept. bullett
I read in a different forum that they want either the original Film or DVD. But it sounded like they discouraged DVD. Nate Downes
Hmm, I'll check this out, could be interesting. (but, no idea how I'd keep it on film tho, as my latest project is mixed-format, half on Super8, half on 16mm)
