Zachary Vex
It's awful. Sorry to be so blunt.
Mike Panczenko
I like the hot toplight and the crushed blacks, but I think that the zooms you have in there don't really fit. For a snap zoom, they aren't fast enough. I think it would have been better if edited more traditionally and intercut with more coverage. The acting, though, is pretty brutal :P
seth christian
Z.Vex, If you're going to make such negative comments...at least give a couple specifics to why! This site/forum is used to improve skills within our art, not to just make people look bad.

Nicholas Jenkins
I have a hard time being motivated to click on a link when someone tells me it's a torture scene... I would agree. But I watched it. I do like the hard light from above, but I would have thrown some type of fill (even if it was just a small one) on the prisoner. I've never used the sony 2000 but I've used the PD150's and VX series. Is it a Mini DV camera? Kind of Sony's answer to the Panasonic DVX? If so, snap zooms are always a challenge on those for many reasons, but if you plan things out well enough, you can pull them off. On the plus side, I like your overall framing and exposure. Just a couple of fixes and I think you could have a really nice scene. YAY FOR RESHOOTS!!! :D
Jonathan Bowerbank
I only watch the first few seconds because it wasn't loading very well for me. But I think you could have even gotten hotter with that top light.
