Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted January 8, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted January 8, 2007 should my images be richer and more saturated when i shoot a -3dB, as oppose to 0dB? They should just be less noisy, which some might say is "richer".

Jonathan Bowerbank
should my images be richer and more saturated when i shoot a -3dB, as oppose to 0dB? Less noise (grain) plus you'll need more light or need to open up the iris a bit more. So yeah, in a way it's the same principle as shooting with slower film stock.
