Super 16mm vs. Anamorphic 16

hi, i am gearing up for a shoot and was wondering if references are available for films shooting in anamorphic 16. ; i can only think of japon at the moment.

 

And:

 

1. B&W stock. i'm looking for low contrast and as little grain as possible (goodnight, and good luck is an example - i'm sure th?ey did a d.i. - but it'd be interesting to know).

 

 

2. What are considered the sharpest lenses on the market I could rent?

 

 

3. f i'm shooting inside a loft, in a very open area with big windows covered only by silk curtains, how many hmi's would i need to pretend it's daytime for a medium shot (40mm).
