Chris Kenny
I'm going to be buying some used lenses fairly soon, and I figure it would probably be wise to have an expert take a look at them. Who should I go to? Preferably in the New York City area. Also, about how much should I expect to pay for this service? (I'll probably be having a set of five PL primes checked out.) Thanks. Premium Member Max Jacoby Posted February 11, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted February 11, 2007 I'd start with the major rental houses. Since it'll be Zeiss lenses CSC would be a good start.
Premium Member Nathan Milford Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted February 12, 2007 If they're in PL mount we can do it. We can collimate, project and ultimately service them. Ask for Jon in service he can give you a quote. - nathan

Hi Chris, Bear in mind that servicing & repairs are charged by the hour, you will in time spend more on repairs than new Nikon lenses!
Chris Kenny
Hi Chris, Bear in mind that servicing & repairs are charged by the hour, you will in time spend more on repairs than new Nikon lenses! Probably, but we'll be having Zeiss PL primes checked out, so that's OK. (I did slip a mention of this into the other thread.) Anyway, thanks for the info everyone.
