Hey,

Doing a TVC soon and want to do some 3rd axis rotaions around lens for space (2001) feel.

Dont have the cash for hothead/technocrane etc etc. Though about the cartonni double head for dutch tilts but it doesnt rotate as much as archs. Any suggestions?

Any F7, right arm combos that would work?

And no Im not going to rotate the set.

Shooting with BL4 S35 so camera end is quite heavy off a piccilo crane.

Cheers,

G.

You might also consider a rotating lens system. Can't remember the name of any specific models now, but basically it's a rotating dovetail prism.

The Tango Swing is probably what you are talking about. It works fairly well if you have a 90degree rotation in mind. For more than that you would need something like the Spin Axis 360 Head from Oppenheimer Camera. I've used both, and the Spin Axis is a lot easier to get smooth on axis turns. It's heavy duty and has hand crank wheels or motorized options.

Long valley equipment, the makers of the seven jib, make a rig that via adjustments allows the user to rotate 360' around the lens. I am not associated with them but it is a cool little rig. If they dont have it in stock, you could have one made at a machine shop. all it is is a pillowblock with a hande to an adjustable L plate.

check out long valley they seem to be nice guys.
