Keith Forman Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I'm having a hard time using the camera when mounted on a tripod, and would like to use a remote focus control on the pan bar. Unfortunately $800 is way more than I can afford. Are there any more affordable alternatives, or even a DIY?
Keith Forman Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 Ok... anybody got one for sale at a reasonable price? I have the stock 16x lens on an HD100.

james mather Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 redrock micro are apparently launching a remote follow focus at NAB in a few days for, apparently, $500.

Considering the simple construction, I'd say $800 is way too much. If I knew what I was doing, I would try making my own. Unfortunately, a dremel, a drill, and a hammer are hardly suited for such a project.
