zrszach
Thanks Maybe ill buy an older 2c and rent another camera for my ramping and hi speed shots. I just want a good quality picture, and the freedom of owning my own camera. When you own you have more time to get the best shots. Thanks again for all ur help. Matt Pacini
Here's my feeble two cents worth, summed up: I think owning your own camera does NOT make sense if: 1. You're shooting just one project and you think you're going to save money over renting. 2. It's a funded project; i.e. a real actual budgeted picture. It "might" make sense to own camera if: 1. You want to learn how to shoot, and otherwise have no abundance of time & access to gear (from school, work, friends, etc. who will let you use their gear), and you're justifying this expense as the cost of education/experience the same as you would justify paying for film school, for instance. 2. You plan on shooting several low budget projects, that don't shoot continuously (nights & weekends). 3. It's a pain in the keester to rent, because you don't live anywhere near a decent rental house. These last three above, are all reasons I've purchased my own gear. Matt Pacini
