  1. have gotten out of the whole editing scene and would like to sell some of my very slightly used equipment. I have 2 Logickeboard’s, one is for Avid Express Pro and one is for Media Composer. I also have Academic copies of Avid Media Composer 2.8.1 (software only), Avid Express Pro HD 5.8.1 (software only) and Sorenson Squeeze 5(which is registered if that makes a difference). I also have a ShuttlePRO2 for sale. All of my equipment is for PC. The Express Pro disc has some scratches on it but works just fine in my computer. Both editing systems come with dongles and all appropriate information. All of the hard ware is in great shape and works perfectly. I spent a little over 1,200 dollars for all of this when it was new and it kills me to loose this much money. I am asking $250 for all of it. Let me know if you would like more info, or if you have a question you can PM me and I will try to get back to you asap. Thanks, -Zachary

    My New Arri IIIC

BEAUTIFUL!!! Congrats man!!! cameras make me feel like a kid in a candy store  do you have a lens set for it or do you plan on renting?
  4. Be around people who make movies? Go anywhere that there may be a concentration of people in the business. Go to shows, expos, conferences, festivals? surround yourself with people who could possibly hire you.
  5. Search the forum archives. This has been covered many times in the past.
  6. set at 200... the ISO Compensation is for the filter.
  7. Well, Landon does seem to have his name out there. good or bad, alot of people know who he is...
  8. Maybe you aren?t getting the replies you want because pretty much all you have been doing this past week is clogging this forum with complaints about k40 going away. It seems that all you can do is complain about it. It?s almost like you think Kodak is out to get you personally. Stop beating this horse? its dead. Start making films instead.
  9. Well, if you have an extra $750 per week or $2000 per month in you budget you could rent a KLMS. But if that is not an option you should probably stick with the medium you are shooting on. film stills for film shoot. Digital stills for digital shoot. It all depends on what you need your pictures to tell you. It used to be that RGB color labs would sell 35mm movie loaded into film cartridges for your 35mm SLR. You could probably do the same thing yourself, all you need is a small roll and a bulk loader. That's my 0.02
  10. Dwayne?s is still processing k40 16mm. And seeing as how k-14 chemicals will probably be sold as long as kodachrome is available for still photography use. You will probably be able to have it processed somewhere.
  11. Haha nice? I?m pretty sure I don?t need any permits in my town of 5000 unless I needed to do something that would cause trafic jams. ;)
  12. haha... riiiigggghhhhtttt No matter how much equipment you have nothing can beat good?ol talent. I find it hard to believe that the average Joe would even know how to use all the equipment you listed. If they did, they wouldn?t be paying us to do it?
  13. I just shot my first cassette of E64t yesterday and everything sounded fine in the camera. It actually sounded great. I love the sound of a camera running through film. Ill try to get some grabs up here asap!
  14. Well, I?m just using the E-64T for some camera tests. Mostly because I can get it processed for $9 a roll. :D If I get wobbly images, you will be the first person I tell.
  15. So how would the stock create an unsteady image? makes no sense to me... You said that you have only got 1 roll back. How could you draw conclusive results from that? And if the cameras are in good working order, It sounds like that 1 cartridge may have been at fault. not the film inside.
  16. Hmm... well, I actually just ordered 2 cartridges of 7280 from film emporium for testing purposes. Only because I first ordered K40 but received an email telling me that they had none left. Hopefully it will turn out fine. Is that the Dwayne's lab in Parsons Ks.? That's where I was planning on sending my film. Wouldn't the stability issues be a camera problem? The film shouldn't have anything to do with the projected image stability. http://k14movies.com/
  17. Maybe he is just DoP'in for films that don?t care about budget... Wally world rocks! And they are everywhere. Come on man!!
  18. Soak some bed sheets with gasoline, it ads a nice warm fire affect to the lighting. :D ha! im never trying that one again. Or, you could get some white muslin on ebay really cheap.

    new camera

That 1/50th is at 24fps so it would be a 180 shutter. The manual says that the compensation is for the light loss in the. "wide range zoom lens". It also says 1.5 stops larger than the meter reading not 1.5 times the reading. 1.5 stops just seems like a lot of loss for a 7.5-60 zoom. And if it was for that the stop would be different at 7.5 than at 60mm. Not 1.5 over all the way through. I just thought it was a little strange. I don't really like the manuals as they are for the average consumer. They give you all that user-friendly junk that I don't really want. Being super 8, I would like to be spot on with the exposure. I don't need any more grain than what is already expected. I still have some testing to do. I plan on getting a few rolls of 7217 and seeing how that works. I would love to have some k40, but that seems to be hard to find right now, with it being discontinued and what not. Anyone have experience with 7217 super 8?

    new camera

So I just got a GAF st/802 and in the manual it says that in the manual exposure mode I need to expose the film 1.5 stops over what my meter says. It also says that I should set the meter at 1/50 of a second. So I am assuming it has a 180-degree shutter. My question is: what is this stop compensation for? Could the shutter not be 180? In this case I could just change the speed on my meter and it would be fine. Also, what is the general consensus on this camera? It seems pretty solid? Thanks for the help -Zach
  21. maybe he is dead... I think the fact that there is a thread about him says something? he seems to stand out for the good or bad. Or maybe he is just innovative in weird way. Either way, he seems to have the attention of this forum. :D good luck landon!
  22. This is hard to find on google but here is something: http://www.creative-effects.com/Special_Ef.../Guns/guns.html these guns use an electronic flash that is long enough to get cought on film... here is a discussion on the matter: http://www.cinematography.net/Pages%20GB/GUN.HTM here are some clips with gun shot effects using toy guns. so im assumeing the flashes have been added digitally. http://rarevision.com/home.php#
  23. haha... I have actually thought of doing that if I were to get desperate... ;) here is another one: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Super-Mini-CCTV-Wi...1QQcmdZViewItem it seems nice and small... though I dont know if I would buy from this seller. ;)
