Francesco Bonomo Posted April 17, 2007 Share Posted April 17, 2007 if I remember correctly a very general explanation of the process (i don't have the AC issue about the film), they first desatured the image, then re-saturate skin tones and other colors. I think they also applied some kind of filter to blur the image. I remember Pope saying that since they knew what kind of DI look they were after, they try to carefully plan the shoot so they could re-create the style of early cameras.
