David Calson
Hi, need to use some dvd movie footage as b-roll for this project. I need to get it into my adobe premeire but not sure the best way. I tried a ripping software, but it looked too compressed. I tried hooking my video camera up to the dvd player itself and press 'rec' but I get a 'copy inhibit' sign. I've seen people play movie clips on minidv but not sure how they got it there. Thanks in advance.
david romberg
What you need to do is use use mini-dv camera as a link between the dvd player and premiere. Setup up your dv camera in VCR mode to an AV-in function (most pro sumer cameras can do this such as the vx2000), play your dvd through the dvd player then capture from camera using premiere. hope this helps
