how to handle angenieux minimum focus

Some of the Angenieux zoom focus closer - notably the 9.5 to 57mm, and (I think) the 10 to 150mm. The very common 12 to 120mm doesn't focus very close, at least by fixed focal length standards. The easiest solution is to carry a set of Series 9 close-up lenses (usually a +1, +2, and +3), which you use in your filter holder in front of the lens, and focus by eye.

The 9.5-95mm focuses closer than 5'. In the range of 3.5' or 1 meter. That lens is basically a 12-120mm with a big afocal wide angle section at the front. Afocal attachments in addition to changing the focal also alter the focus by the same ratio. Inf. x any number is inf.

Most older zooms including Pan Cinors usually only focused to 5' or 6'.
