Premium Member Rupe Whiteman Posted May 25, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted May 25, 2007 Hi - I've shot and cut a small corp. on dvcam for a client who wants to use it to send out as a dvd and to stream on the 'web. I've done a quick test using quicktime movie export, burned a dvd via dvd studio pro and watched it back on a decent 27' telly - the picture quality is very good. I presume this is also fine for web streaming uses too? - In the past I cut my own reel in fcp and exported the clips via quicktime conversions to mpeg2 files which as well as taking ages to render looked pretty much the same quality as the quicktime movie.... - Can anybody with more editorai & codec knowledge please help. I'm on version 4.0 of FCP... thanks...
Andres Pardo aka Gral Treegan
Hi rupe!!! mpg2 video is a multplex file that have m2v video file and an ac3 audio file in it. it dosent work for streaming. from quicktime you can export a streaming movie when you select quicktime movie and in the submenu USE is streaming medium, the result is pretty good. try it. best wishes!
