Juan Cajiao Director DP
Hi! Right know I must make a budget for a project involving 3D shooting and projection. At my country there is no information or rental houses to supply all the stuff needed. Please, I need some recomendations about shooting a 3 dimension movie. Could be taped or only exist the film camera adapted for that? Where is located the cheaper rental house for that kind of equipment? Thanks a lot. Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted September 10, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 10, 2004 Someone online recommended the classic book on 3D moviemaking: Lenny Lipton's FOUNDATIONS OF THE STEREOSCOPIC CINEMA (Van Nostrand Reinhold, 1982) More info: http://www.stereoscopy.com/ http://www.stereo3d.com/news.htm http://www.stereo3d.com/3dmovie.htm
Premium Member Greg Gross Posted September 10, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 10, 2004 I was on location at a Border's Espresso Cafe the other day and while there after the "Martini Shot" I came across a fantastic book on your subject. I Cannot Remember Name And Author($50.00) book. This had a large portion of it devoted to actual lighting on the set, quality, color, quanity, style, direction, set design. I've regretted ever since that I did not get it. When I'm over again I will take note and post here. My sound man and I are going to do wireless mic checks there on tuesday. After discuss- ion on lighting it dealt with rendering 3D etc. .
