tanner wolfe
i'm using a set of ultra prime lenses on a sr3 (super16.) as these are 35mm lenses will i need to make any accomodations using them on a 16mm camera? will i run into any hidden issues as i have never shot 35mm lenses on a 16mm camera? cordially, tanner
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted June 5, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted June 5, 2007 I've heard some of the larger PL-mount 35mm cine lenses don't fit under the viewfinder that juts out -- don't know if that was an Aaton or Arri SR3 issue, nor which lenses in particular. Premium Member Nathan Milford Posted June 5, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted June 5, 2007 They fit on the Aaton. If you want to use some of the newer larger barreled lenses, use an Aaton (any model) or a

None of the Zeiss Ultra and Master Primes and none of the Cooke S4's? Some of them?
Mitch Gross
I think the Cookes mostly fit, but some of the UltraPrimes and all the MasterPrimes won't. For some lenses, they will fit if you swing the viewfinder up into what can be a fairly uncomfortable position for operating. They all fit on every Aaton just fine.
