Olex Kalynychenko
hello everyone , i bought a Cameflex CM1 . do you know if i can fix on it the konvas motor ? thank you E What Konvas motor you mean ? Konvas camera can have many types of motors. I think, you mean of crystal sync speed 17EP-16 APK motor. If you send me pictire of CM camera from motor mount, we can think. 17 EP-16 APK motor have output shaft with two-pin plug. The one turn of output shaft move of film on one step. But, the electronic of motor can be adjust for other speeds too. 17EP-16 APK motor included DC motor 6000 rev at 12 v, 50W with peak power 210 W. The motor have reducer 2:1 too. Henri Mathieu
I have a Cameflex CM3 16/35 and a Konvas. The motor mount are very different and it suppose to modify the Konvas motor for running on reverse mode. H.MATHIEU
James Steven Beverly
Hey, I just had an insane, wild, CRAZY idea, but it just might be crazy enough to work!! Rather than spending tons of money and a lot of time trying to modify the Konvas motor to work with a camera it wasn't designed for, what it....and JUST hear me out on this...WHAT IF you were to SELL the Konvas motor and then use THAT money to BUY a Cameflex motor that will fit right onto your camera WITHOUT going though all the trouble of having to force fit a Konvas onto it. I know what you're going to say, "HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND, Have you completely gone off the deep END!!!" but I really think this could work! Edited June 17, 2007 by James Steven Beverly

James Steven Beverly
Be patient and keep looking my friend, someone, somewhere has got one they want to get rid of OR you could sell the Cameflex and buy a Konvas 2m. These are killer little cameras, tough as Hell and you can pick one up for anywhere from 1500 to 2500 bucks for a complete package with lenses, motor, everything and the 2m s are all over Ebay constantly. They're easy to maintain, parts are availible, and they are VERY reliable. It's something to consider. B)

B) at first i wanted to buy a Konvas 2m than i said to myself ; a Konvas is a nice camera , but it s a "remake" of the Camflex without a variable shutter angle , beside the Camflex is 16 and 35 .i got a great kit from a friend ; fully revised CM1 , Nikon mount and old Arri mount +6 magz + 1 motor 25i/s + 1 single shot motor + some Nikon lenses now i have all of this , i am trying to find a manivel and a variable motor , mattebox and maybe a blimp  . James Steven Beverly
Sounds like a nice package. Looks like you're stuck with being patient then. If you have a 25 FPS motor at least you can still shoot with it. Matteboxes you should be able to find on Ebay fairly easily, a blimp, I think you're screwed, THAT'S gonna be REAL hard to find. I have NO IDEA what a manivel is. I actually have never heard that term, could you enlighten me? B)

Premium Member John Sprung Posted June 18, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted June 18, 2007 the motor is runing at 24,09 ( should be 25 i/s ) In that case, it would be a good idea to take your existing motor to a specialist repair shop. Have you looked at the brushes and commutator? Wait too long on brushes, and the commutator can be damaged beyond repair. -- J.S.
