looking for a aspiring gaffer in London

Hi,

 

I am shooting a short 30min drama on super16 in London; it will be a 10 days shoot, starting July 19 and ends July 29.

The shooting will be in the Soho area and out side soho for interior scenes.

I desperately look for a good gaffer that can work for free\or very low wage (of curse the production pay travel expenses).

I tried "shooting people" and get lost between too many names.

I really like this forum, and hope that maybe I could find someone from here, also if you have any names to give or can make a contact between me and a good gaffer it will be great.

You can't ask people to do ten days for free. One or two. Maybe three. Not ten, though.

 

You especially can't ask other people to recommend some third party for ten days free work!

Sorry if I offended you in anyway.

After thinking on what you wrote, I agree with you that if I want someone professional it will only be for 2-3 days maybe 4 if he will like the crew or the production or the actress :-)

I don?t know the shooting schedule yet (which day we shoot what) but I know that I probably going to have 3-4 days that I really going to need a good Gaffer, I also wrote that the production can pay low wage.
