Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted September 21, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 21, 2004 Almost none except for some 16mm features from the 1960's & early 70's. The big exception is "Buffalo 66", shot in 35mm Ektachrome, processed normally (VNF). Optically printed to an internegative. The opening flashback for "Blow" was shot in 35mm Ektachrome 5285 (E6) and processed normally. Optically printed to an internegative. "U-Turn" was partially shot on older VNF Ektachrome and cross-processed. So was "Clockers". "Three Kings" used E6 Ektachrome cross-processed for the middle section. Same for brief flashbacks in "From Hell" and "The X-Men."
Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted September 22, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 22, 2004 I recall that the Disney True Life Nature Series of the 1950's was shot on reversal stocks, and released in 35mm Technicolor dye transfer. (Winston Hibler was involved with many of these).
