Premium Member Tim O'Connor Posted August 24, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted August 24, 2007 I saw "The Champ" on cable last night. Had seen it once before a long time ago. I think that it has probably the most incredible acting that I've ever seen from a young kid (Rick Schroeder.) Also, there is an edit in there that moves the story from one scene to another more dramatically and efficiently than almost any cut I've ever seen. I could say but why not see for yourself? If you agree, you'll enjoy it more rather than me spoiling it.
Jonathan Bowerbank
I couldn't find it, but there's a great photo of Rick Schroeder assuming a fighter's stance with his Golden Globe in hand. Thanks for reminding me, I've been meaning to see it for sometime now.

After I watched it, I went on IMDB and learned that the DVD has a commentary with Jon Voight and Rick Scroeder which should be pretty interesting. I'd have to watch it again to tell you anything about the cinematography. Totally absorbed by the story and acting.
