Jon Boguslaw Posted September 6, 2007 Share Posted September 6, 2007 ok, i shot a few rolls, ran them through a not-so-great kodak projector and got this streaking and jumpy effect. the same thing happened when i ran them through a Bell and Howell i bought hoping to solve the problem. Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted September 6, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted September 6, 2007 It looks like the film is not looped properly as it travels through the projector. There should be a loop function on the projector that resets the loop. If the film starts "chattering" whenever the film is jumping, then that would indicate to me that the projector is losing it's loop. Was this an in camera edited production or did you make splices? You can also inspect the frame line of your image to see if the jitter is at the time of shooting or the time of projecting. I think there is an additional knob on the projector for adjusting the frame line, you want to make the frame line as visible as possible so you can see if it looks steady or not.
