Marc Roessler
Hi guys and girls, when pushing b/w reversal film, how many stops can be achieved under reasonable circumstances (no excessive grain, and enough contrast for the film not to seem too milky)? Looking for some of your experiences here.. What stocks did you try? How much did you push it, and what were the subjective results? Any specific developer you'd suggest for the first processing for doing this? (For me, the stocks in question would be either Fomapan 100R, Plus-X 7265 or Tri-X 7266. Any stock of these you would suggest to prefer (or not to use) for pushing?) Greetings, Marc
K Borowski
Is this 8mm or 16mm? I'd say, with reversal film, you can get about 1 1/2 stops of push with 16mm, about 1 with 8mm, (none with Tri-X ;-) ). With reversal, the push is done with the first developer time only.
