Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted September 28, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 28, 2004 Hi, Projected this film this evening. Nothing incredibly adventurous, since it's a character piece essentially about growing old, but a textbook example of technically excellent work. It was a nice print, and we project scope on a pretty small screen, which both help. Shot on Fuji. Stock unknown, but very low grain. Some slightly cheesy CGI and a bit sentimental, but exceptionally smooth images - and I get to walk right up to the screen and scrutinise it. Can't get IMDB to not crash Internet Explorer for some reason, so can't tell you who shot it. Phil

Aaron Tan
I really liked the photography of the opening sequence with the guy rowing the boat through the water and the sunrise with reflections and water that looked like smooth black oil. Good movie too... almost brought tears to my sensitive eyes... :(
