J. Lamar King IMPOSTOR
That's Adobe for you. I think anyone, at least in the USA would be crazy to pay full price for Adobe software. It can be had from a few vendors and off ebay for cheap. I got my PPro 1.5 from ebay for $200, it was a full version and it registered with no problem. I haven't seen the full video collection on the cheap lately though.

If they were selling OEM copies, which I would imagine would be in many cases, they'd probably have to include some hardware with the software to avoid any legal issues... right? But it looks like they are individualy licensed instead of one license that covered 10 copies or something. I don't think it matters who registers it in that case because they sold one license and only one license is registered. That is certainly legal. Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted October 5, 2004 Author Premium Member Share Posted October 5, 2004 Hi, Just out of interest, this is the response I got from Adobe: Dear Mr Rhodes, Thank you for your recent enquiry. As the american and european market are separated, they also have different prices. The prices for the european market are set by Adobe in Europe and they just decided to set the price for marketing purposes for the Video Collection on £ 1,568.63. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours sincerely, Matt Adobe Customer Service Tel: +44 (0)131 458 6842 Fax: +44 (0)131 451 6999 Email: adobeuksales@adobe.com So, "because we can get away with it" then. Would someone in the US be willing to receive a the software and cross-ship it to me? I can't believe the tax and reimbursing costs would double the price of the thing.
